The Birthday Month

November is the birthday month in our house. Lisa, Bryce and Zoe all have birthdays in Nov. For Lisa’s birthday we went out to eat at a restaurant with some good friends. Bryce’s birthday was at the house with 4 of his friends. Lisa was the kid’s game facilitator and managed the jelly fish game and “Nemo Says.” (it was a Finding Nemo theme party) PaPaw and Grandma got him some camo hunting overalls… I guess they’re getting him ready for Texas. Zoe’s B-day celebration was early this year and unfortunately I missed it. My godfather, Gibby, and Lisa’s folks were there though. Lisa said it was fun. Zoe didn’t hold back on the cake attack. Lisa and the kids came out to TX so we could be together for turkey-day. The TX clan had another birthday cake (made by my cousin Caitlyn) for both Bryce and Zoe. Lisa rooted for the Broncos in the midst of all of us Cowboys fans… smart.
The timeline for our move is getting short. There are a lot of moving parts and confusing issues but I’m sure everything will work out. This is certainly the most complicated move and PCS we have ever experienced.
My bros at work said goodbye (in roast format) last week. I can’t put my experience teaching at the Weapons School into words. It has been an invaluable experience. I will certainly miss all. The guy with whom I taught has been a confidante and close friend. I will especially miss working with him and our family will miss his.
