Tucson and a naked dance
TUCSON – I was TDY there for 3 weeks to fly some training sorties with our students and Lisa and the kids came along. It was nice to be back in Tucson, but realizing it may be our last trip there as a family was a bummer. Lisa took Zoe to water survival training twice a day. Zoe is now a certified “floater.” She started eating solid foods over a month ago and now she’s getting pretty big. She’s not crawling yet but still quite mobile. Somehow she can make it across a room. Bryce is 3’4″ and is working on using good manners. He is an avid, fully independent swimmer. He is also a constant source of noise… constant. Lisa and I have tons to do to get ready to sell the house and prep for the move. Our bathroom is still not complete with plywood floors exposed. So we will get the house complete just in time to sell it. Great.
NAKED DANCE – We got back from Tucson at around 2 a.m. At about 0730 the house alarm goes off (extremely LOUD alarm) and I jump out of bed in shock and half aware. I assumed Bryce opened a door. As I run out of the room I see him scurry back into his room confirming my suspicion. It is chaos. I fly down the stairs as you might imagine a clumsy giraffe would look going downstairs. Just as I get about 4 steps from the bottom of the stairs I hear, “I’m so sorry.” I freeze, look up, and see an attractive young woman, whom I do not know, standing there looking at me right about eye level with my pelvic region. Did I mention I was naked? I was very cool about the whole thing. I let out a short and loud scream (rather high-pitched) and bolted (again like a giraffe) back to the bedroom and sent Lisa downstairs to turn off the alarm and greet our surprise guest. Apparrently our house/dog sitter had an assistant and she did not get the word we were home. Nice.
